It was time for West Indies to chase the Sri Lankan score and A.Brown and Desmund Chumney (27) opened batting for the West Indian team but before long danger man A. Brown was back in the pavilion for just 6 runs as he was caught off the bowling of Dilan Ratnapala.

The Sri Lankans were bowling well and the West Indian big hitters were severely restricted and the game was turning in favour of Sri Lanka. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and a tensed up West Indian side was counting on Jason Patraj and Austin Codrington to help save the side from defeat.

With the loss of 8 wickets and 9 runs off 9 balls the finals were keeping everyone on their toes.

Every ball mattered and the crowd would silently hope for a breakthrough in a way of a wicket or a boundary depending on which team they were supporting.

Suddenly, the West Indian supporters came alive with a huge six by Jason Patraj (20 not out) which got the Windies back in the game and before long it was all over for the Sri Lankan side.

In a thrilling final the West Indies were named Champions of the CANADA CUP T20 -2010.
